Manav Kalyan Yojana

The Manav Kalyan Yojana provides additional tools to the economically backward classes to generate adequate income and self-employment. This scheme has been started from 11/9/95 instead of the previous self-employment scheme to improve the economic status of persons (artisans) living below the poverty line. This includes people from weaker sections of the society who have a family income of Rs. 1,20,000 / - and for urban area Rs. Assistance in the form of tools is given to people up to Rs. 1,50,000 / - to increase their economic income.

From the applicants who wish to avail benefits under the scheme and are eligible for the criteria laid down by the Government at https://e-kutir.gujarat.gov.in. Dated from 15-03-2022. Applications are invited online till 15-05-2022.

(1) Application for assistance in human welfare scheme must be made online. The required documents along with the application will also have to be uploaded online. Incomplete application will be filed.

(2) The annual income of the applicant's family for rural area is Rs. 1,20,000 / - and for urban area Rs. 1,50,000 / - should not be more.

(3) The age of the applicant should not be less than 16 years and not more than 60 years on the date of advertisement.

(4) In previous years the applicant or his family members should not have received such assistance from this department or from any other department, agency or institution of the State of Gujarat.

(5) The benefit of this scheme is only available to one member of the family at a time.

(6) Original document for verification should be shown by the officer / employee of the district office if required.

(7) Preference will be given to applicants who have undergone government approved training for that occupation.

(8) Details regarding getting assistance in Manav Kalyan Yojana are given at https://e-kutir.gujarat.gov.in. After thorough study, the applicant will have to apply online. Also special information will be available from the office of the District Industry Center of the district.

(9) If any question arises regarding getting help in Manav Kalyan Yojana, the decision of Commissioner Cottage and Village Industries, State of Gujarat, Gandhinagar will be final.
