The genocide in this country has killed 100 people in a single blow

Gunmen have killed more than 100 people in a deadly attack in Ethiopia.  The country's Human Rights Commission has reported that the fatal attack took place in the village of Bekoji in Bullen County.  People affected by ethnic violence have fled their homes and fled the area.  Ethiopia, Africa's second most populous country, has been facing constant violence since Prime Minister Abi Ahmed came to power in 2018.

Prime Minister Ahmed's democratic reforms have reduced his grip on regional rival groups.  Elections are due to take place in Ethiopia next year and tensions are rising over land, power and natural resources.  In another part of the country, on the other hand, the Ethiopian army is fighting the rebels.  Clashes between the Ethiopian army and rebels have been raging for the past six weeks in the Tigris region.

The threat of Somali Islamic militants

Clashes between the army and rebels have displaced 950,000 people.  On the other hand, after the deployment of troops to crush the rebels, there are now fears that security vacancies may arise in other troubled areas.  Ethiopia's Oromia region is facing rebels and has long faced the threat of Somali Islamic militants on the eastern border.

Senior security official Gashu Dugaz said they had received information of a recent attack and were trying to identify the attackers.  Casualties are also being identified.  There are several ethnic groups in the area, including the Gumuz people.  Gumuz people complain that farmers and industrialists from nearby Amhara area have started coming to their area in recent times and they are occupying fertile land.  On the other hand, our people claim that some land belongs to them.
